Hello,
In recent months, the game Wordle has become very popular around the world.
Would someone make an Estonian version of this game?
I would like to do daily puzzles, simple solving and tournaments!
The positive thing is that we have 50,000 words to use in the crossword database (with varying levels of difficulty!) - so we can start creating simpler and more complex puzzles right away.
Thoughts?
Estonian Wordle?

Can anyone suggest some cool Estonian names for this game?
Words? Guess what?
The name could also simply be "Word Play".
But let's take a closer look at this idea.
Why?
This game requires both - quick wits and a wide vocabulary. And even if the vocabulary is not that wide yet, it will definitely help its development (thinking of children). In this regard, this game would suit us. In addition, it can be played alone, so the possibility of playing does not depend on the number of people in the room (you can also play at night).
Game format
In the English-language Wordle game, there are six ways to suggest a word. The limited number of times is good in that you can't use "brute force" solving. Maybe quick-witted people don't always win. Could you start with these six here too? In addition, one interesting nuance is that you can't suggest arbitrary letter combinations - the word must be in the database for its suggestion to count.
Words
This game definitely requires a separate word database (with difficulty level and word category).
To start with, we can take the words in the crossword database: there are about 5,000 words in the length range 4 - 9. Although - we don't have to go through this list manually either. We don't want English words, for example. We don't want first names and villages either, do we?
The words have different levels of difficulty: easy (crosswords 1-3), medium (crosswords 5-8) and hard (crosswords 13-20).
Once the crossword puzzle words have been used up and are in use, I would try to take the same approach as with crosswords, so that people can suggest new words themselves and earn credit through it.
Competition moment and rating change
It is easy to compare the speeds of solving: we can compare solutions based on this.
One idea was to do "daily puzzles" - like daily sudokus or crosswords.
If we use words with lengths of 4 - 9 and 3 difficulty levels, there can be 18 of these puzzles every day. There is one big but - it is very easy to spoil the joy of solving others by writing today's solutions in the chat of the game room. Maybe - I'm not very sure about the daily puzzles. But would the game room then only be left with "Solving for fun"?
However, we can definitely organize word game tournaments: Tournaments could also have different levels of difficulty and contain at least 8-10 puzzles. Vint.ee would start with official tournaments and later give users the opportunity to organize various tournaments. And then the more skilled ones could also earn more ratings in the tournament.
Some interested parties could also chime in, maybe someone else will have some good ideas/arguments.

When solving in the game room, you will be given a random word and at the end of the game (if you have solved it) a leaderboard will appear showing how quickly you solved it. At first, this leaderboard is mostly empty, but over time it will fill up - there are a lot of solvers.
Second thought: I think we should start with a word length of 5. There is too much randomness in guessing 4-letter words (school, chair, salt, flow, pool, etc.).

This will definitely be a good game.
Maybe the lemmad.txt or lemmad2013.txt at the link https://www.eki.ee/tarkvara/wordlist will help you find suitable words?

As for the name - in English it seems like the words word and riddle are put together, if it could be done in Estonian in a similar way it would be great, but as much as I tried, it doesn't come out very well:
Word riddle - slang
Word puzzle - susle, sõsle
Word riddle - slang
Word puzzle - susle, sõsle
"Wordbreaker"? Like codebreaking...
Come try it: https://www.vint.ee/et-ee/games/#sõnamurdja !
Next steps:
1) If you solve correctly, you will see a leaderboard showing who solved that particular word and how quickly.
2) Below the space there will be a "Word Statistics" link, where you can see how large the word database is.
3) Below the space there will be a "My statistics" link, where you can see how many I have solved.
4) Tournaments!
Any feedback is welcome! Are the difficult words too difficult? Let us know if there are solutions to the words that don't fit.

Similar to the daily Sudoku summary leaderboard, a scoring system could be created, where each solution to the "daily puzzle" would give [100*(median time taken from the leaderboard for the given word)/(solution time)] points. Each participant would receive random "daily puzzles". If, for example, 18 puzzles have been solved, the points for those whose answers were correct are added together, and zeros for those whose answers were incorrect. For everything to work, only those words that have had enough previous solutions should be marked as "daily puzzles" in the database (otherwise, newer words would often have unequally long median times).Competition moment and rating change

To clarify: multiplying by 100 is just an example, Sudoku seems to be something like that. The median time is better than the record time in a "word breaker" game, because the record time would fluctuate a lot if someone randomly guessed right at the beginning. Giving each participant random puzzles eliminates predicting in the chat.
Instead of manually entering difficulty levels, the median time taken from the same (already existing) single word ranking table could be used.
