The Renju took place and presumably Madli won (Martin didn't participate, because proper points weren't awarded there). For some reason, the results aren't online. They're here, taped to the wall, maybe one of us will take a picture and send it to Ants.

Well, then study agricola well, whatever animal it is.

I think Andres has a bit more points, or maybe I wrote the formula in Excel incorrectly. In fact, I don't know if and how these results are rounded at all.

I'll write a little about Saturday here. Abalone went pretty average for me, I got 2 points out of 5 rounds and was in the middle of the pack. Hare and Tortoise went pretty well for our boys. Andres shared second and third place. Martin shared fifth place. I was about eighth. I can't remember Jaanus's place at the moment, I think we were about the same. There were 16 participants. On the negative side, it was another area where Matthew got first place, in addition to the KenKen and sudoku silver he got from the morning session. Tomorrow we'll all play Agricola. We practiced today. It seems pretty darn hard. It's a sign of what tomorrow will bring. Matthew seems to be pretty good at it too - we just played a test game. Like him, I still need a long area, so if Agricola doesn't go well, I'll probably skip Boku and Lost Cities on the last day and play Monopoly. On the one hand, it's good for us that I can stop him if necessary, but at the same time, if I win, I'll potentially bring him more points with a larger number of participants. Tomorrow night's Holdem will probably decide quite a lot. Fingers crossed for Agricola!! :)

In addition to Madli's post, since Matthew already had a maximum of 300 points from short events, the hare&tortoise victory did not bring him any more points. On the other hand, third place gave me a significant increase in points, giving me about 89 points instead of the previous 50 points and should even give me the lead at the moment. The agricola that is starting soon can of course change this immediately, as it will give Matthew a second long event. In hare&tortoise, Matthew was extremely powerful, getting a maximum of 12 points out of 12 and beating second place by 4 points. I myself was able to play checkers with him twice at the same table, and in both cases he simply outplayed me.

However, we were too optimistic about the poker results. The table shows that Ankush is still in the lead and to catch his result, he needs to place among the top 3 in Holdem. Martyn Hamer is third and Martin is fourth. Matthew is already clearly behind and so the agricola that starts right now will be decisive for him.

I am currently leading with 455 points. Second is Tim Hebbes, who improved his score to around 450 with the morning cribbage. Third is Dario de Toffoli with 442 points. So the top three are close together. In fourth at the moment is David Jameson with 423 and fifth is Martin with 416 points. Matthew has only 1 long area and currently has 9 with 386 points. So to catch my result he needs 80 points today from Agricola (to be announced soon) or from Poker Summary (unlikely) or from Monopoly tomorrow. In the top ten at the moment are James Heppell, Tony Niccoli, Ankush Khandelwal and Martyn Hamer. Madli is currently second among the women and only a point behind the leader, but if Madeline Heppell, who is currently third, should record a decent long area, then fighting for the gold seems unrealistic. Halfway through Agricola. I have got second and third place and somewhere in the middle. Matthew won his first table, the second one is about to end.

Matthew was 3rd in Agricola, got 89 points and became the clear leader with about 476 points. He can only be caught by two defeats tomorrow. On the other hand, we are within 10 points of Ankush, Tim Hebbes, James Heppell and Dario in 2nd-6th place. Considering that there is a boku tomorrow, the chances of second place are good.

Yesterday's Holdem didn't change anything and the last day will decide everything. Several players still have a theoretical chance to snatch the gold from under Matthew's nose with 2 first places, including myself and Martin. Considering that Lost Cities is a coin flip, the realistic chances are of course slim. We should rather hope that we will manage to get first place in the boku and defend second place in the overall standings. 5 minutes until boku, so keep your fingers crossed!

Bokus 8 rounds out of 14. Martin is leading, David Pearce and Alain Dekker are sharing second and third. I'm currently fourth. All four of the leaders will meet each other soon.
