Hello, The Mental Sports Olympiad with the largest number of participants in history has ended - this year 1076 students from 70 schools participated in the competition. The most participants (52) were from Tallinn Science School. Let's summarize the overall results by age group. In addition - since in recent years several schools have also asked for overall results in school classification, we also calculated them - this year it is still unofficial, but who knows - maybe next year we will also award the corresponding trophy to the best school. Primary School 82 students participated in all disciplines, which is 12 students more than last year. The best mental athlete in the primary school level was crowned Hendrik Tambla Tallinn Reaalkool, collecting 1003 points. Second place was taken by Sebastian Suppi Tallinn Kesklinna Põhikool with 934 points, and third place was taken by Jasper Vähk Tallinn Vanalinna Hariduskollegeum. Among schools, Tallinn Kesklinna Põhikool earned the most points (as the sum of the points of the five best students). Primary School 91 students participated in all disciplines. The best mental athlete was crowned Ardi Raag from Tallinn Real School, who scored 1078 points in four disciplines. Second place (with 1025 points) was taken by Albert Pedmanson Rakvere Waldorf School, and third place was taken by Karl-Ustav Kõlar Tallinn Science School, collecting 993 points. Tallinn Science School earned the most points among schools. It is particularly noteworthy that none of the top three elementary or secondary schools won any individual category - they were evenly stable (and successful) in all four categories. Gymnaasium 26 students participated in all disciplines. With a victory in Gomoku and 1082 points, Markus Hansson Pärnu Koidula Gymnaasium became the best mental athlete. Another great fact is that Markus has been an active vint.ee user for 8 years - longer than we have organized the Mental Sports Olympiad! Second place was taken by Martin Oja Nõo Reaalgümnaasium with 1045 points, and third place was taken by Karl Henry Teär Saaremaa Ühisgümnaasium with 986 points. Saaremaa Ühisgümnaasium earned the most points among schools. The best mental athletes will be awarded medals by the Estonian Mental Sports Association. Thank you everyone for participating and see you next academic year!
